1. Different regions of Korea each have their own local dialect.
    한국의 여러 지역에는 각각의 사투리가 있다.

 * It is hard for me not to speak in my local dialect.
   나는 사투리를 쓰지 않는 것이 어렵다.

2. The dialect of Seoul, the capital city, is considered the standard language.
    수도인 서울의 말이 표준어로 여겨진다.

3. People from different provinces speak in different accents.
    = People from different provinces have different accents.
   서로 다른 지방의 사람들은 다른 발음으로 말을 한다.

    그는 독일식 억양으로 영어를 말한다.

4. In some cases, the words that are used are completely different.
    어떤 경우에는 사용되는 단어가 아예 다르다.

5. Usually, this doesn't lead to problems in getting the point across.
   대개의 경우, 의사 전달을 하는 데 어려움을 유발하지는 않는다.

 * It was so noisy that I had to yell to get the point across.
    너무 시끄러워서 의사 전달을 하려면 소리를 질러야 했다.

   나는 그 언어를 할 줄 몰랐지만, 하고 싶은 말을 전달 할 수 있었다.
 * It's hard to get the point across if you don't speak to each other.
   서로 대화를 하지 않으면 의사 전달을 하기가 힘들어.

6. However, there are some words that cause confusion.
    하지만 혼동을 일으키는 단어가 일부 있기는 하다.

    그는 워낙 정리가 안 돼서 늘 혼선을 일으켰다.

7. In paricular, the dialect of Jeju Island is very distinct.
   특히 제주도 방언은 매우 독특하다.

8. When someone talks in a local dialect, it shows where he/she is from.
    누군가가 지방 사투리로 말을 하면 출신 지역을 보여 주기도 한다.

9. Overall, dispite the presence[|prezns] of local dialects, Koreans don't have any trouble communicating at all.
    전체적으로 지방 사투리의 존재에도 불구하고 한국 사람들은 의사소통을 하는 데 어려움을 느끼지는 않는다.
