1. A while ago, my wisdom tooth began to hurt.
얼마 전에 사랑니가 아프기 시작했다.

나는 두통이 나기 시작해서 약을 먹었다.
2. I went to the dentist to have the tooth pulled out.
그래서 이를 뽑으려고 치과에 갔다.

* I missed work because I had to have a tooth pulled out.
나는 이를 뽑아야 해서 출근을 하지 못했다.
3. It wasn't my first time getting a tooth out, so I wasn't too worried.
이를 뽑는 것이 처음은 아니였기 때문에 그리 걱정되지는 않았다.

4. I knew it wouldn't hurt as much as a root canal.
신경 치료보다는 아프지 않을 것이라는 사실을 알고 있었다.

5. Thankfully, it was all over in just 15 minutes or so.

마취를 할 것이기 때문에 아프지는 않을 것입니다.
7. The shot to my gums was painful.
잇몸에 놓는 주사는 아팠다.

8. The tooth was growing at an awkward angle, so it was tough to remove.
이가 이상한 각도로 나고 있어서 뽑기가 어려웠다.

* tough 질기다, 어렵다, 힘들다
* It is tough to wake up early every morning.
아침마다 일찍 일어나는 것은 힘든 일이다.

이 고기는 맛은 좋은데 매우 질기다.
9. When the tooth finally came out, it bled a lot.
마침내 이가 빠지자 피가 많이 났다.

* The cut was deep, and it bled a lot.
상처가 깊고 출혈이 심했다.
10. I had cotton balls in my mouth all days.
하루 종일 입속에 약솜을 물고 있어야 했다.

11. The doctor gave me some painkillers and antibiotics.
의사 선생님이 진통제와 항생제를 주셨다.
