1. I was wondering ~. ~가 궁금했어, 왜 ~일까?
 그 사람이 언제 여기 올지 궁금했어.
 재료들이 뭘까 궁금하더라.
 그 여자 이름이 뭐였지?
 I was wondering when he would get here.
 I was wondering what the ingredients were.
 I was wondering what her name was.

2. I don’t get ~. ~가 이해가 안 돼.
 그 사람들이 왜 그렇게 행동하는지 이해가 안 돼
 그들이 어떻게 해결책을 찾았는지 모르겠네.
 정말 간단한 게 어떻게 그렇게 복잡해질 수 있는 건지 모르겠네.
 I don’t get how they can act like that.
 I don’t get how they found a solution.
 I don’t get how something so simple can become so complicated.

3. That explains why ~. 그래서 ~구나.
  = That's why ~ . 
  = That's the reason ~ .
 다른 먹거리들도 왜 더 비싸졌는지 설명이 되네요.
 그래서 그녀가 그렇게 똑똑한 거구나.
 그래서 그렇게 음식이 많이 남는 거구나.
 그래서 이렇게 추운 거구나.

 That explains why they have so much leftover food.
 That explains why it’s so cold.

4. Why does the price of ~ keep going up? 왜 ~ 가격이 계속 오르는 거지?

    = Do you know why the price of ~ keeps going up? 
 양파 가격이 왜 계속 오르는 거죠?
